4 months

-Ohmelord- We are out of the so-called "4th trimester" and entering....well, the 4th month...

A new tooth drooling through
Rolling from stomach to back
Cooing like a maniac
Still boobing like a champ
and
Maintaining the highest rating of cute and cuddliness

Shall we with the pics, yes?

right now, for a moment...

I know eventually inevitably completely someday soon almost here they will be teenagers...

And they'll "eat me out of house and home" and won't want much to do with me before noon on any given monday/sunday/friday....and they'll have girlfriends (or boyfriends! or both!)...and homework and SATs or recruiters, and curfew and all the other verge of adulthood toeing the boundary issues...

and the days when mommy can make it all better, and the 12:30am, 3:30am feedings and then the other with the "my blanket needs fixing mama!" at 4:30am and then the cartoons and cheerios...and carseats and diapers...teething and potty training...bed time rituals, high chairs and blanket baby playdates...

but for tonight they are mine...just simply, playfully, mine....

baby-baby OH, baby! @ the end of 3 months

Still cozily co-sleeping,  And we both still love it!  He typically sleeps like this: on his side with one hand wrapped under his chin.  Presh!

"Hi.  I'm cute.  Very. Very. Cute."

working on "tummy time" and getting strong

This boy can *totally* smile on command. :)

He can also pose *angelic* at any given moment...

Mastering The Grasp, The Hold, and The Stare Down.

Sitting in style on The Bumbo Seat.  Still a little head floppy though...

And finally, the Stiff Leg.  Whenever I sit him on my lap, he straightens out his legs like he wants to stand.
Slow down, little guy....slooooooooooooow Doooooooooown.....:)
p.s. Check out his leg warmers!  Thank You aunt Jessica!

And what is this I feel and see?  A TOOTH?! Ah...shiz, I better relish these gummy smiles before they fade and fast...

Snippets

Milo's first trip to a Mall. That is in the throws of pre-Christmas shopping vomit all over everywhere you turn.  Where there are stores.  With lots of shit 3 year olds love to have/destroy/rip/throw.
And, yet, he was good.  Angelic even.  Even when he insisted on going into Spencers and he picked up a fun looking box and says, "What THAT mama?"  "It's a beer bong, honey, put it down, please, that's not a toy for you.  Yet."

Look at this kid gazing at the water fountain.  I didn't even have to give him Benedryl.  Fuck yeah.

Xmass gifts that come in the mail are immediately opened.  Especially if they're from Grandma E.!  Coincidentally, the UPS man dropped this on our porch JUST BEFORE NAPTIME.  *knock knock*  "LOOK MAMA!  PRESENTS!  OPEN IT!!
So, guess who refused to lay down until *SOMEONE* put this bad boy together -note: i had to actually READ directions.  This is not my FAVE. AND insert batteries.  But it made him happy. It made for a LONG day, but whatevs...

At a birthday party.  Milo sees the ginormous cake, looks up at me (see above) and says, "I eat cake NOW, mommy?!"

A must to eat Nutella and spend some time "outside the kitchen table."

Important to run with the balls

An important to just run

Also an important to get thee to a bath on an occasion

the 3yo photographer

"Back in my day we had to roll the film into the camera, take pics without the immediate satisfaction of seeing them pop up on a fancy screen (!), wait forever for them to get processed at some box store, and then go to pick them up weeks later and half of them were either blurry or otherwise fucked or lame and then they might go into a shoebox somewhere or a photo album if they made that final cut.  Rarely in a frame on a wall.

So glad things have changed...otherwise my kids might only have, like, a dozen or so photos that conform to standards of good taste of themselves in these fabulous formative years.

Now they have THOUSANDS!  Before they're even ONE!  Yay for mommy parent photographers!

So here's Mr. Milo playing with my fancy-ass point and shoot...and he doesn't even have to wait 42 weeks to get these pics back...!

Early morning, in all my glamour and glory.
It takes alot of lost sleep to look this sleek, ya'll.

Never enough bare foots in ma opinions

"Look, mommy!  I take picture of myself!"

The perspective is this photo is just...pure post modernism, yes?

getting out the door

Maneuvering myself and 2 young darlings out the door by 9am every morning?   Psssht....I got this...

I love Milo's devilish grin while Ari looks on with a hint of fear...

"I'm ready to roll, mommy!"

"I'm just along for the ride, really..."
