Beach Week '09: Bethany or Bust!

Every year (give or take) the entire (mostly) family gets together and forms a commune of vaca-love. This year the vaca doubled as a birthday holiday for little Easy. Surprisingly, Milo did fantastic during the 3 hour drive, his new sleeping quarters, and the constant flurry of activities and people. Of course, I took well over 200 photos....so here are just a few of the highlights of our time in Delaware:

What a fantastic place! We got the 3rd floor "owners suite" with our own private balcony...

Here comes the cake! The whole family crowded around on the screened in porch to sing Milo his birthday song...

I had to introduce the cake to Milo. He wasn't all that interested...

Milo was a bit confused as to why people were standing around singing and staring at him! Get used to it, little man!

Afterwards, Milo (me) opened gifts while daddy filmed on video. Milo quicky found himself surrounded by books, clothes, and plenty of toys!

Milo's morning schedule was a bit off during the week. But the good news is that we saw some very beautiful sunrises! One morning, I took him out to the beach to watch the colors fill the sky...Here he is doing some baby yoga!

We lucked out and found a kiddie pool at my Aunt and Uncles beach house...a leftover treasure from a previous renter. This was perfect for him!

In the evening, we would take walks with him strapped to daddy's back. He fell asleep a few times like this...

Even though Milo is too young to enjoy "Funland," the hubby and I went out for a "date day" and enjoyed some old favorites: the tea cups, bumper cars, pirate ship, and, of course, the carousol...

"The beach is good, I do declare! Let's go back next year, yes?"
